The author holds a B.A. in Classical Studies, Phi Beta Kappa, from Indiana University, Bloomington, and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Montana.  Her law review article, Defending against a “Death by English,” was published by the University of California Berkeley, 14 Berkeley La Raza L.J. Vol. 14: 177 (2003).

She lives in Seattle, Washington, and currently works for the King County Department of Public Defense.
